7 Sunscreen Myths That Would Make Anyone Go "OMG"!

By Natalgia Rysen

An excessive amount of sun is detrimental for the skin. This is the reason you will need to make a plan to safeguard yourself from the sun's rays. This can be the sole method to make sure you won't find yourself looking old and wasted because of your dry out wrinkly skin. Through methods to safeguard the skin from the sun, you'll be able to maintain and preserve your beautiful and youthful glow. A great way to safeguard the skin from the sun is to apply sunscreen particularly those that contain argan oil. This is useful more often than not. Sadly, lots of people have a large amount of myths about the usage of sunscreen that the more intelligent and knowledgeable ones often go OMG! Listed below are several of these myths

Sunscreen is a shield from the sun - people take the word sunscreen too literally. They think that they are applying a protective layer that acts as a shield from the sun. This is a wrong way of thinking about it. In reality, it is more of a dampener. The sun still goes through the skin but not as intense as before. This is why you should still watch your sun exposure times.

Cheaper sunscreens provide more value - if you use cheaper sunscreen, you need to apply a lot in order to achieve adequate protection. More expensive sunscreen on the other hand can provide adequate protection with just a small amount. For the most part, the more expensive brands offer better value for money. One of the best choices is to buy argan oil based sunscreen.

Thick sunscreen is the best - thick sunscreen may prevent too much sun exposure but it may suffocate your skin. When outside, you have to strike a balance between proper sun protection and comfort. You should not prioritize one over the other.

Spray-on sunscreen beats lotion type - both being the same and have the same effectiveness. You get the same outcomes either way. Sunscreen lotion is like being in the shade - the shade offers much better protection as compared to sun block. The shade blocks the sun 100%. Sun block does not.

Having sunscreen is like being under the shade - this is in no way true. Shade is shade -- 100% blocked from the sun while sunscreen is not 100%.

Sunscreen must be applied in similar thickness all over the skin - some parts of the skin is a lot more sensitive than the others. These parts require thicker sunscreen lotion application.

All sunscreens are the same - sunscreen products come in different formulas. The best way to differentiate them is by looking and the SPF factor.
